The Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is responsible for setting up and taking down the Altar for all Sunday Services, as well as special functions such as weddings, baptisms, and funerals throughout the year. The altar guild brings beauty and dignity and helps us to enter more deeply into worship and the Christian story as they change the color of the altar frontals to mark the church seasons, set up the elements for communion, clean the linens, polish the brass, and arranging flowers at Christmas and Easter, readying the Palms for Palm Sunday, and much more.
Many of our members find that preparing the altar for worship on a Sunday morning is a significant encouragement to them in their own personal spiritual life and a way of serving the wide church community in love.
