Reaching out to those in need is a fundamental part of who we are as a community of faith. At the heart of our various ministries is the understanding that we are able to offer hope because we have found our hope in God. We offer aid not out of our abundance, but out of God’s abundance. Jesus instructs us to care for one another, and God gives us the grace to follow Jesus’ command.

Hobbs House Community Center

About the Community Center

Trinity Church’s parish house, Hobbs House, is home to the church offices. It houses our Food Pantry, and as part of our parish outreach, is home to several non-profit groups that serve the community.  We offer space to local Girl and Boy Scout Troops, AlAnon, AA, and NAMI. We also have Hall Rental and meeting space available for a nominal fee.

Food Pantry

Trinity’s food pantry provides shelf-stable foods and personal hygiene products to people in need within our community. On average, Trinity’s pantry gives away more than $10,000 worth of food and household products to families in need each year. The pantry is staffed by church volunteers on the first and third Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m. to noon and by Hampton Community Coalition volunteers on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. (when SAU90 schools are in session). Not only does the congregation provide food for the pantry, we also receive donations from the Boy Scouts, the Postal Workers, local schools, and generous individuals and businesses in the community.

If you’d like to get involved with the Food Pantry, please call the office at 603- 926-5688.

The Hampton Community Coalition

The Hampton Community Coalition (HCC) is an all-volunteer non-profit that has a walk-in Help Center providing confidential referrals and assistance for Hampton families with children in SAU 90. It is open on Tuesdays from 11 AM to 1 PM when the schools are open.  Their volunteers also staff the Hobbs House pantry and Dress4School Success on Tuesdays, from 11 AM to 1 PM.

TASC (Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens)

TASC’s mission is to help people maintain their health, independence, and dignity by mobilizing volunteer drivers to provide rides to eligible residents of the eleven towns it serves.  Those Towns are: Brentwood, East Kingston, Exeter, Greenland, Hampton, Hampton Falls, Kensington, North Hampton, Rye, Seabrook, and Stratham.

Volunteer Drivers are always needed.  Volunteering is easy! You choose which ride(s) you’ll take, when you drive, where you’ll drive, how far you’ll drive, and your route.

For more information about volunteering, or to get more information about who is eligible for these services, contact the TASC program director at 603-926-9026.

Dress 4 School Success

This non-profit provides free clothing for school-aged children in need.  They help with special requests, all of which are confidential.

To donate clothing, contact Jan Merrow at 603-918-6816 or jmerrow22@comcast.net during the school year.  Parents may select clothing on Tuesdays from 11 AM to 1 PM when SAU90 schools are in session.

Outreach beyond our walls

Building Bridges Veterans Initiative

As part of the Building Bridges Veterans initiative, we provide a   comfortable, respectful, and non-judgmental space for veterans to gather for lunch, conversation, support, and friendship.

American veterans are a critically under-served and tragically marginalized population that we, at Trinity, feel called to embrace. The high rate of suicide, the rampant problem of veteran homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, and the epidemic isolation that veterans face are all areas that we need to address within our community and across the country!

We’ll begin with getting comfortable getting together on the third Wednesday of each month for Lunch at Hobbs House once a month.  We’d like to hear what the needs of our hometown vets are and then begin to find ways to address them.  If all they want is another place to socialize over lunch, that’s fine too. Let’s take this journey together!

This is a community project.  If you would like to get involved, let us know by contacting us at trinity55ad@gmail.com or call us at 603-926-5688.

The Village PreSchool

Village Preschool was established in 1994 through the collaborative efforts of Center School’s administration, teachers, and PTA. This non-profit program was designed to ensure kindergarten readiness and to facilitate a smooth transition for children from preschool to kindergarten through its safe, nurturing, comprehensive preschool program.

Many Qualities make Village Preschool special; one is its terrific staff – most have been with Village Preschool for over 10 years! Ginny Bridle, Director and head teacher, has been with the program since its inception in 1994.

Village Preschool has a wonderful location in a safe cheerful facility on the lower level of Trinity Church.  Call us at 603-929-7349.
